Melanie Whild - Partner

Melanie studied at Birmingham School of Architecture, joining Weedons in 1983 and becoming a member of the RIBA in 1988.

Melanie has worked on successful, high profile commercial regeneration projects across the country, characterised by their modern approach and functionality, achieving high quality architecture through cost effective detailing.

 

Phil Cole - Partner

Phil joined Weedons in 1995, having originally studied at Newcastle and Birmingham Schools of Architecture.

His skills in residential, retail, commercial and  mixed use schemes have been influential in high profile Inner City regeneration projects. His diverse knowledge and experience also includes Industrial Energy and Waste Facilities across the country.

Terry Lee - Partner

Terry joined Weedons in 1987 having studied at Birmingham School of Architecture. He is also a Certified member of the Association for Project Management

He has worked in a broad range of sectors including R&D, automotive, commercial and public sector. Clients include Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover, MoD, WM Police and West Herts College.

Alan Leaning - Director

Alan joined Weedons in 1984 on a one year youth training scheme. He was taken on full time at the end of this period and has been with the practice ever since.

Alan has been successfully involved in a wide variety of projects and is committed to combining conceptual theories with technical knowledge in order to develop a clients aspiration in to reality.

 

Andrew Griffiths - Director

Andrew joined Weedons in 1996 to work on GDEC, Gaydon, which led to his role as team leader for a variety of projects including the award winning Rolls Royce Turbine Blade Machining Facility and Bournville Place for Cadbury‘s.

Andrew promotes technical excellence and attention to detail within the office which enhances the development of architectural concepts.

Owen Doherty - Director

Owen joined Weedons in 1984 and has been successfully involved in projects characterised by their technical approach to design ensuring client aspirations are executed to the highest standards.

Owens experience has provided him with excellent organisational, technical and design skills to produce an innovative quality and build ability in architecture.

Matthew Dix - Director

Matt joined Weedons in 2001 and has a wide range of project experience including leisure facilities, large scale mixed use and residential complexes and sensitive refurbishment projects.

His approach to architecture is characterised by a response to both client and contextual requirements through innovative design solutions and refined detailing.

 

Stuart Curran - Associate Partner

Stuart joined the Weedon Partnership in 2005. He has over 17 years experience in architecture and has been involved in a wide variety of commercial / mixed use, residential and regeneration projects both in the UK and abroad.
His approach to architecture is characterised by imaginative and contemporary design relating to contextual and community requirements.

David Vanderson - Associate Partner

Dave joined Weedon architects in 2011 and has been involved in numerous commercial, refurbishment and residential schemes nationwide.

His approach to architecture is characterised with his interest in the physical representation of space through contemporary and sustainable design which is related to a specific site and client.

Jake Porter - Office dog

Jake joined Weedons on a part-time contract in 2010 after a period of on-the-job training in Gloucestershire and subsequent registration with the Kennel Club. He has taken responsibility for the collection of stray door stops and emptying the office bins - whether we want him to or not!
